The Foyle Food Group is recognised industry-wide for its production of high quality beef primals. Now in its fourth decade, the Group employs approximately 780 employees across its five sites – Foyle Meats, Omagh Meats, Donegal Meat Processors, Foyle Proteins and Hilton Meats Cookstown. Each facility within the group is EC approved and benefits from continuous investment in state of the art machinery and equipment.
Foyle Food Group had built up a reliance on a mixture of software packages and in-house developed solutions to meet the day to day operations. As part of its continual business improvement, a project was initiated to review their software applications.
Finbarr McNamee joined Foyle Meats with a wealth of project experience to select and implement best practice processes group wide with an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Sysco and Microsoft Dynamics NAV was selected for the breadth of functionality delivered, food industry experience and best practice approach demonstrated. Sysco has the local support and implementation capabilities for a company the size of Foyle with the additional benefit of the system designed to scale up with increased volumes and capacity with business growth.
